I didn’t get a formal training in the field of art, so until 2008 I didn’t even know the names of the types of artworks I made, I just create them. My area of specialty would be life-like realism but, sometimes, I feel an intense inner-pressing-need to express myself. It could be an emotion, a sudden thought (inspiration) but keeping it to myself makes me uncomfortable. So I usually express my feelings using cubism and sometimes Surrealism and other times, I use the combination of both.
REALISM: Realism is a movement of art founded in the 1840s. Its emphases was on the depiction of life and nature as they really were. The movement, therefore, rejected the fanciful subjects and artificial execution of style that was in existence in the past. (Famous artist of this movement was Gustave Courbet)
I’m still evolving at this area and the evolution would be a life-long one. Anyway, my realism watercolor are very popular, they are usually made in eye-catching colures. My drawings are so real that they give an illusion of 3dimentionalty (to the extend that viewers has told me that they felt like dipping there fingers into the drawing). I also use mediums like collage. My realism collages are also popular and has always been mistaken for a painting or drawing. Collage is a picture made by an unusual combination of bits of paper.
CUBISIM – EXPRESIONALISIM: Expressionism is the team used to describe the art of any individual at any period who distort forms intensifies color to appeal to the emotions. It is based on the idea that the artist is not to produce an illusion of reality but to communicate something of the artist himself and his feelings. (Famous artist of this movement was Vincent Van Gogh). Cubism is a style in art in which object are represented so that they appear to be largely of geometrical shapes. It began in 1907 and tended to have ended in 1914 but later merged with other ideas in the first post war period. (Famous artist of this movement was Pablo Picasso)
My cubism – expressionism usually carry’s philosophical meanings and symbols. Everything from the colors to the shapes are a representation of something or an idea. They are usually influenced by my most dominate thought at that period of my life (when I made such artwork).
SURREALISIM: Surrealism is a 20th century movement in art that aim at expressing what there is in the sub-conscious mind. So the artwork may depict a number of unrelated object as seen in a dream. (Famous artist of this movement was Giorgio di Chirico of Italy).
This is the most challenging type of my creations. It is usually miss-understood in my country because the image usually comes out of my imagination and requires detailed-exhaustive-explanation (my country is a very religious nation and people fear what they don’t understand). Online (on the internet), these pieces are usually the most viewed (I have only been on the internet since July 2008). I usually paint and draw them, I do not collage surrealism (not yet).
